
A suspect has been snared by Riverside County Sheriff's deputies after a string of burglaries alarmed business owners in Perris, California. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Lavelle Davis of Perris, was a wanted individual before his arrest on Thursday morning. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, the robbery in question took place on Tuesday, October 22, at a local business situated in the 500 block of Indian Hills Circle.
Despite obtained video evidence and an issued warrant, authorities were initially unable to track Davis down. The break in the case arrived with a call reporting a burglary in progress at a Green Acres business on East State Hwy 74. Proceedings unfolded quickly thereafter, upon arrival, deputies detained Davis who was being held by the business owner. Davis now faces multiple counts of burglary and probation violations, as detailed in a statement from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The suspect was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center, and his alleged spree seems to have come to a decisive end. The Robbery Burglary Suppression Team’s Deputy Sanchez has encouraged any individuals with additional information on the case to come forward, as per the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
