Firefighters in Sylmar were faced with an unexpected discovery when they responded to a call of a structure fire on Dronfield Avenue earlier today. The blaze, which was swiftly brought under control, turned out to be emanating from a detached garage housing an illicit cannabis operation. According to an alert from the Los Angeles Fire Department, it took just 27 firefighters approximately 24 minutes to quell the flames.
Upon arrival at the scene, LAFD found that the fire, reported at around 11:27 AM, was intensified by erratic winds that presented a formidable challenge. Fortunately, with quick and decisive action, they managed to contain the fire in the garage area. Despite the potentially hazardous conditions, no injuries were reported.
The fire's cause is currently under investigation by authorities, as reported by the LAFD. They have logged the incident as #2278.
