
In response to the pressing needs of those facing homelessness, day shelters in Tacoma and Puyallup are opening up their doors this weekend for individuals in need. The initiative is part of an ongoing commitment to provide temporary relief and services for the region's vulnerable populations.
Resources and support can be crucial during these times. Saint Vincent de Paul located at 4009 South 56th St., Tacoma, is prepared to warmly welcome visitors Friday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., as detailed by Pierce County.
The Family Housing Network at 5050 South Tacoma Way in Tacoma will be available Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and also on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to offer their services.
Moreover, the New Hope Resource Center, situated at 414 Spring St., Puyallup, is scheduled to be open Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., to provide assistance and shelter, as per Pierce County.
