
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the arm at a shopping center near Temple University in North Philadelphia on Monday around 4:30 p.m. The incident took place on the 1700 block of North 12th Street, near Five Guys and Raising Cane's. Temple University's alert system notified the campus community shortly after the shooting, CBS Philadelphia reports.
A teen was injured in the left elbow and taken to Temple University Hospital, where they are in stable condition. The area near Raising Cane's and Five Guys has been blocked off by police, and a window at Five Guys was broken. No arrests have been made, and no weapons were found. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward, NBC10 Philadelphia added.
Surveillance footage is being reviewed, but the motive is still unclear. Investigators are searching for evidence in the area, and anyone with information is asked to contact Temple police at 215-204-1234 or Philadelphia police at 215-686-3093, according to 6ABC.
