In a recent crackdown on illegally operated marijuana delivery services, the Thousand Oaks Police Department's Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) cited three adult male delivery drivers on November 20. The drivers, associated with state-licensed dispensaries, were found to be in noncompliance with city regulations requiring a local permit for delivery within the municipality of Thousand Oaks. The operation was sparked by concerns over the unpermitted cannabis trade encroaching on the city's jurisdiction, as reported by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
According to the official press release, the cited businesses include The Vault, located at 22815 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, Atrium at 5441 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills, and Elevate, positioned at 20010 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills. Approaching the delivery drivers, the officers conducted the sting operation using a marked patrol vehicle. Upon contact, the drivers were discovered without the compulsory Thousand Oaks permit, thus issuing citations, as the cited deliveries were carried out without a permit.
