A Carolina Cash 5 lottery ticket worth $110,000 remains unclaimed as the expiration deadline approaches. The ticket, purchased at a Sheetz store in Dobson on May 16, must be claimed by next Tuesday. The winning numbers are 5-15-36-40-43, QC News reports.
In a statement obtained by N.C. Education Lottery, Mark Michalko, CEO, urged ticket holders: "Search everywhere you keep your tickets and double-check any you have to see if you have the winning ticket."
The winning numbers, matching all five white balls, have odds of 1 in 962,598. The ticket holder must present the winning ticket at lottery headquarters in Raleigh by 5 p.m. next Tuesday, which marks the end of the 180-day claim period for the May 16 drawing. The N.C. Education Lottery is using media alerts, social media, and banners at the Sheetz store to inform the winner.
The Charlotte Observer notes Michalko’s call to action: “We hope that whomever purchased this ticket comes forward to claim their prize soon so we can celebrate their big win with them.”
