
Russell Richard Fincher, a 53-year-old man from Tuskahoma, has been sentenced to three years of probation for a federal firearms violation. He was found guilty of selling ammunition to someone who was not legally allowed to possess it. The sentence was handed down by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Fincher pled guilty in May 2023 to charges of running an unlicensed firearm sales operation. Between February 2021 and June 2023, he was discovered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. On May 5, 2023, he sold 60 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition to someone with a felony record, which led to his arrest and prosecution, as reported by the United States Attorney’s Office.
The case was handled by Chief U.S. Judge Ronald A. White at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Fincher was sentenced for unlawfully selling ammunition and will be on probation for three years, with conditions of supervision, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.
