
Two individuals have been taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in relation to a recent armed robbery in Northwest, D.C. The incident in question transpired in the early hours of November 6, when suspects confronted a victim on the 2100 block of 9th Street, Northwest. According to the victim, the suspects brandished a gun, demanded their belongings, and subsequently absconded with the victim's vehicle. The MPD's investigative efforts culminated in the arrests of 22-year-old Julius Prince and 18-year-old Jeremiah Hasty, whose charges include Robbery and Armed Robbery, respectively, as per MPD.
Julius Prince, hailing from Northwest, D.C., was apprehended on Wednesday and is now facing charges of Robbery alongside Carrying a Pistol Without a License. Following Prince's arrest, detectives working the case also managed to apprehend Jeremiah Hasty of Northeast, D.C., who was charged with Armed Robbery. The MPD released a statement detailing the charges each suspect is facing after the robbery.
The department has reiterated the importance of public cooperation in these investigations and continues to encourage witnesses or individuals with knowledge of criminal activities to step forward.
