In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, residents of White Settlement should note changes to the city's service schedule, particularly regarding trash collection. In a social media announcement made by the City of White Settlement, it was made clear that there would be no trash pickup on Thanksgiving Day, as the holiday is one of the few days when Frontier Waste Solutions, the city's waste management provider, does not operate.
For households accustomed to Thursday trash service, this pause will push collection to the following day, "Anyone with Thursday trash service will have service delayed by one day and your carts will be emptied tomorrow on Friday (11/29)," the City of White Settlement stated on its official Facebook page. This minor displacement also shifts Friday service to Saturday, leaving residents who usually wheel out their bins at the end of the workweek doing so on the weekend, "Those with Friday trash service will also have a one day delay and your carts will be emptied on Saturday (11/30)."
While city facilities close their doors to allow public servants and workers to spend time with families and loved ones the city took to social media to remind its residents of the temporary change which could affect cleanup plans for those who host Thanksgiving gatherings alongside the usual tally of household waste.
