The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is in mourning for K9 Enzo, a veteran of the force who passed away on a quiet Wednesday morning, as reported by FOX 7 Austin. Enzo, who joined the Sheriff's Office in 2013 and retired eight years later in 2021, was a fixture in the department and among the community.
During his tenure, Enzo was not only a K9 officer but also a beloved companion to Deputy Derrick Johnson who, post his partner's retirement, provided him with a loving home where he was cared for, respected, and in the end, mourned. Deputy Johnson's loss is felt not only personally but also by his extended family in the sheriff's office and beyond, a sentiment echoed by My Texas Daily wherein the department, recognizing the bond, asked the community to keep Johnson and his family in their thoughts during this heartrending time.
"K9 Enzo will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to work with him, train alongside him, and know him," reads a post from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, a place where memories of Enzo's dedication and endearing personality will undoubtedly endure for years to come, as FOX 7 Austin stated.
