The incident, which took place at the Scottdale Post Office located at 3328 E. Ponce De Leon Avenue, happened at around 5:07 p.m. on December 20. The suspect is reported to have entered the facility and robbed an employee at the counter.
According to a statement obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta, the suspect is described as a Black male with a brown complexion, likely in his mid-to-late 40s, standing about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. His outfit at the time included a dark blue shirt, dark blue pants, a green reflective vest, and a mesh fisherman-style hat. Authorities are emphasizing the need for public assistance to quickly apprehend the suspect.
The urgency to solve this crime is underscored by the substantial reward being put forth. "The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and DeKalb County Police Department are looking for information on the suspect involved," reads a statement from the Inspection Service, urging that the suspect needs to be identified and apprehended.
