
A string of gas station robberies in Shelby County has ended with an arrest, as reported by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO). The suspect, identified as 59-year-old John Crenshaw, allegedly used a rifle to intimidate and rob the establishments, striking twice within a half-hour.
The first reported incident occurred at Circle K on Germantown Parkway, swiftly followed by a robbery at an Exxon located on North Houston Levee. According to FOX13 Memphis, Exxon was stripped of more than $1,000 during the incident.
Crenshaw was later apprehended at a gas station in the vicinity of Airways and Ketchum. This capture was aided by the public, whose assistance the SCSO was swift to acknowledge in a social media update.

The overall charges against Crenshaw are severe and reflect the gravity of the accusations: aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and theft of property, coupled with arms-related offenses due to his possession of a firearm during the commission of these dangerous felonies, and as a convicted felon previously prohibited from holding a handgun.
