A 22-year-old man was stabbed by an unidentified female assailant on Sunday in downtown Seattle. The incident occurred around 6:39 p.m. on the 1200 block of South Jackson Street, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found the man with a stab wound to his lower back. They provided first aid until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived, and the victim was quickly taken to Harborview Medical Center. Witnesses told officers that the woman approached the man and stabbed him without any prior confrontation. She was seen fleeing on foot in a southbound direction.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic woman wearing a black shirt and carrying a brown bag. Despite a search of the area, she was not found. The knife used in the attack was recovered and tagged for evidence. The Seattle Police Department's Homicide/Assault Unit is investigating the incident.
