
The Arlington Police Department is currently investigating a tragic hit-and-run incident that left an adult female and an adult male dead. The event occurred late Sunday night, with officers arriving at the scene at approximately 11:32 p.m., after being alerted to a crash at the intersection of E. Lamar Boulevard and Corporate Drive, as reported on the City of Arlington's official news outlet.
The victims, whose identities remain unknown due to a lack of identification, were found unresponsive and subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. The search for the driver, who failed to remain on site, is ongoing. According to the official Arlington news release, the suspect was driving a silver Chevrolet Malibu with temporary paper tags and was captured by traffic cameras speeding eastbound along Lamar Blvd before mounting the sidewalk and striking the pedestrians.
Police have released details of the suspect vehicle, which they believe will exhibit significant damage to its front end, including the hood and windshield. Investigators are fervently working to locate the vehicle and make an identification of the driver, though no arrests have been made at this time.
