Atlanta police are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in two separate armed robberies at a local grocery store. The first incident occurred in the early hours of October 29, at Troy Supermarket on Joseph E. Boone Boulevard NW, where a man is accused of assaulting a clerk before stealing money and fleeing the scene. FOX 5 Atlanta notes that the robber tackled the employee and forcibly took over $2,200 from the cash box.
Providing a different perspective on a possibly related crime, WSB Radio released details of an earlier incident on October 21 at the same Troy Supermarket location, during which an unidentified male brandished a gun and demanded money from the cash register and the safe before escaping the premises; the suspect was described wearing a black ski mask, black jeans, and white shoes, and a distinctive black hoodie emblazoned with “Ice Cube” in yellow lettering on the front, as well as a black and white photo design on the back.
Authorities are reaching out to the public in hopes of gathering information that could lead to the incarceration of the individual responsible for these crimes. Both sources have shared Atlanta Police department's request for tips, emphasizing the possibility of anonymity for informants. Those who might have relevant knowledge or insight into the identity or whereabouts of the suspect are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta either by calling the tip line at (404) 577-8477 or by other available means including online and text submissions.
