Belmont Police Department is actively searching for 29-year-old Andrew Neil Johnson following a violent incident that occurred early Friday morning in an apartment on McLean Avenue. According to QC News, the suspect allegedly forced entry into the apartment, assaulted two women known to him, and subsequently shot at the ground near two men, which caused the bullets to ricochet and injure them.

Police were called to the scene around 6 a.m., where they found the door to the residence had been kicked in, and the interior was in disarray. With the apartment being ransacked, as reported by WCCB Charlotte, this case currently stands as a violent infraction that includes charges of felony second-degree burglary and damage to property, among other offenses. The victims, consisting of two men and two women, came to their violated home to find everything unturned. "They say they went inside and noticed the apartment had been ransacked," details WCCB Charlotte. During their unsettling discovery, Johnson entered and initiated his assault on the two women. The subsequent encounter with the men led to the shooting that injured both parties, though thankfully non-fatally.
