Boston Police District A-1 made the holiday season a bit brighter for the local community at the annual tree lighting ceremony held in Quincy Market. This festivity, which took place at the bustling Faneuil Hall, was reported to embody the holiday spirit with Boston's law enforcement mingling among citizens in a rare display of unity.
Captain Driscoll and the District A-1 Community Service Office attended the event, adding more than just festive lights. The police presence was seen as part of the community’s celebrations, not just for security. A "familiar trouble maker," humorously compared to The Grinch, was spotted but left in good spirits, according to the Boston Police Department’s news release.
As the tree's lights twinkled, the Captain thanked everyone who participated in the holiday season kick-off, highlighting the importance of community events in policing. "A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped kick off the season in style," read a statement on the Boston Police Department’s website. These events reflect the BPD's efforts to build positive relationships with residents, spreading warmth and holiday spirit.
