The City of Taylor is set to embrace change with Carly Kehoe Pearson stepping in as the new Assistant City Manager, starting her role on December 30, 2024. According to a statement obtained by CBS Austin, Pearson, with her extensive municipal background, is brought on board to spearhead oversight of Development Services, Main Street, and Internal Services departments.

Brian LaBorde, the City Manager of Taylor, expressed confidence in Pearson's ability to guide the city through its upcoming growth spurt. "Her experience will be crucial as we enter a season of rapid growth and development in the City," he told CBS Austin. Prior to this appointment, Pearson orchestrated her expertise as the Director of Planning and Development for Bee Cave, Texas. Notably, she will soon have to transition from shaping policy in her former role to actively implementing it in the Taylor landscape.

Pearson's credentials are fortified by her roots in Burnet, Texas, and her education from Texas A&M University. Moreover, she bears the distinction of serving as Chairwoman of Legislative Affairs, Economic Development, and Redevelopment Committee for the American Planning Association of Texas. Furthermore, her leadership extends as the Immediate Past Director of the Board for its Central Texas Chapter.
