Following a fatal motorcycle crash in Charlotte's Hickory Grove Division, 28-year-old Angel Sanchez Medina faces charges for Misdemeanor Death by Vehicle, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department confirmed. The investigation led to the issuance of arrest warrants on Tuesday, November 12 following the incident report initially filed on October 11.
According to official communications from CMPD, Medina surrendered to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office on November 15, where he was processed for his arrest and subsequently released, Medina's next of kin were notified about this development as the law entails.
The CMPD continues its efforts to understand the circumstances leading up to the tragic incident, indicating an active and ongoing investigation. They have called for witnesses, or those with information regarding the matter, to come forward and assist by reaching out to Detective Leung or providing anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
