
A solemn Christmas in Panorama City was disrupted by gunfire that left one man dead. The incident took place shortly before 9 p.m. on Christmas Day in the 8700 block of Cedros Avenue. Officers who rushed to the scene discovered a 30-year-old man lying on the sidewalk, lifeless from multiple gunshot wounds. According to ABC7, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial reports suggested the man may have been engaged in a verbal altercation that tragically escalated. A representative from the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA that the victim appeared to have been in an argument with another individual who proceeded to pull out a firearm and shoot him multiple times.
While the shooter remains unidentified and at large, bystanders did note the sighting of a red vehicle that was seen speeding away from the crime scene, as per ABC7. The authorities are actively looking for more information and are calling on any potential witnesses to step forward.
