The tragic demise of a 4-month-old Clermont County girl who suffered deadly abuse has led to charges against both her parents. Danielle Rheude, 31, faces allegations of complicity to commit murder and child endangerment after a grand jury indictment, according to FOX19. This development follows the November arrest of Andrew Kammerer, 33, the infant's father, who has been charged with aggravated murder and felonious assault.

Goshen Township Police indicated that Rheude's indictment came after a rigorous investigation involving their detectives, the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office. Subsequently, additional evidence was presented to the Clermont County Grand Jury. As jail records confirmed, she was apprehended on December 19 and is currently held at the Clermont County Jail on a $375,000 bond. Meanwhile, Kammerer remains in custody on a $5 million bond, with his pretrial hearing scheduled for January 9.

On November 4, first responders were called to the family's home for an incident relating to the infant experiencing difficulties breathing after what was reported as a fall. The child, identified as Evelyn Kammerer, succumbed to her injuries after life support was removed at Cincinnati's Children's Hospital Medical Center more than 12 hours later. The Cincinnati Enquirer detailed autopsy results, which indicated the injuries were "inconsistent with an accidental fall."

Authorities described Evelyn's death as the result of an "extraordinarily violent attack." In a grim revelation, it was reported that her twin sister, too, had suffered injuries that appeared to be healing. "I don't know my own strength," Kammerer purportedly told police and medical staff, hinting at a brutal engagement with his daughters' vulnerability. As per The Cincinnati Enquirer, no details have been made available on when Rheude will appear in court for the said charges.
