Small hail near the Red River might cause trouble for a few with thunderstorms possible east of the I-35 corridor, as per the National Weather Service.
Monday will see the bulk of this week's precipitation with a 70 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms between morning and noon, then a continuing chance of showers afterward. An overcast sky will persist and temperatures will slightly decrease with highs near 71. Light rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch are possible.
As for the ensuing nights, there's a 30 percent chance of rain before midnight on Monday, and by Tuesday night, the likelihood of showers increases to 50 percent after midnight—forecasters predict mostly cloudy conditions and low temperatures around 52. Despite the fronts moving across the region, which might spur isolated to scattered thunderstorms on Monday and Wednesday, severe weather is anticipated not to cause concern.
Looking ahead to the latter part of the week, Wednesday promises a 40 percent chance of precipitation, but skies will clear up by the evening, leading into several days of sunny weather with highs in the mid-50s to 60s.
