Authorities in Detroit are intensifying their search for a suspect who was captured on surveillance footage setting a car ablaze on the city's east side, as they release video footage in hopes of obtaining new leads. The Detroit Fire Investigation Division, which coordinates efforts between police and fire services, is spearheading the investigation following an incident on November 15 that involved arson and gunfire on Elmdale Street near Roseberry Avenue, as reported by WXYZ.
The suspect, identified as a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt, attempted to break into a red Buick Lucerne but after failing, he returned to set the car on fire and subsequently, came back a third time to open fire on the house with gunshots before igniting the vehicle again, according to footage uncovered. No injuries were reported during these dangerous events, as per ClickOnDetroit.
