
On Thursday morning, a woman was shot while driving on I-94 in Detroit, though two children in the car were unharmed. Authorities temporarily closed the freeway near Mt. Elliott to investigate the incident. The woman is recovering from her injuries.
At 1:40 a.m., Michigan State Police responded to a shooting on the freeway where a woman was hit by gunfire. She was taken to the hospital, and her children were picked up by family. According to the Michigan State Police Second District on their X account, the freeway has reopened, and "Currently, we don’t know why the driver was shot at and do not have any information on the suspect or suspect vehicle." The case is under investigation.

Mike Shaw urged "we are asking members of the community who may have information to call either 855-MICH-TIP or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP."
