
On Christmas Day, a man was hospitalized after being shot during a robbery in Detroit, as reported by CBS News Detroit. Michigan State Police and the Detroit Police Department responded to calls early Wednesday morning concerning a man running on westbound Interstate 94 near Van Dyke and an SUV that crashed into a service drive fence, blocking the freeway.
Running from the vehicle after the crash, the Detroit Regional Communication Center received calls about the man before getting notified about the robbery and shooting, according to the statement by the MSP Second District on social media. The man was later identified as the driver of the SUV, who was shot during the robbery that took place on Van Dyke Street.
