American Airlines experienced a technical issue that led to a ground stop for about an hour, causing delays for six flights at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Erica Donerson from the Wayne County Airport Authority advised passengers to check flight status beforehand. The Transportation Security Administration expected to screen 40 million travelers from December 19 to January 2, a 6% increase from last year.
