The search is ongoing for Nakia Anderson, a 14-year-old girl reported missing in Detroit after last being seen on Tuesday. The Detroit Police Department is seeking public assistance, with details shared on both their social media and through local news sources. In a post by the Detroit Police Department's Missing, the public is urged to come forward with any information that might help locate Anderson.
Anderson, whose description labels her as a Black female around 5'2" and weighing 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes, was reportedly last seen by her family wearing a white shirt, black pants, and black Crocs shoes. Leaving home without permission, she was spotted in the company of an unidentified person in a black Dodge Charger near Evergreen Rd. and W. Warren Ave. Lacking permission from her family, the just over three days disappearance of Anderson has intensified the urgency of the appeal from the Detroit Police Department.
The local community is now attentively following the situation, with concerns rising as the hours pass. WWJ Newsradio reports that anyone with information about Anderson's whereabouts is encouraged to get in touch with Commander Vernal Newson of the Detroit Police Department's 6th Precinct directly at 313-596-5640. Anonymity for tipsters is a priority, and options are provided for those who wish to offer information without revealing their identity. Crime Stoppers also maintains an open line for anonymous tips at 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587).
