The Eden Prairie Firefighter Relief Association has donated $10,000 to fund fire sprinkler installation at LuAnn's Place, an assisted-living facility in northwestern Eden Prairie. The donation, sourced from the association’s 2021 fundraising campaign, aims to improve safety for residents, as reported by the City of Eden Prairie.
In 2021, local heroes raised nearly $30,000 to support community safety and special projects. Their latest contribution is expected to not only save lives but also provide peace of mind for residents and staff at the group home. "We are grateful to our donors and relief association for their help in making Eden Prairie safer for our residents and firefighters," said Fire Chief Scott Gerber, in a statement made by Eden Prairie's official website.
And the gesture hasn't gone unnoticed, as the faces of the Eden Prairie Fire Department's own – Fire Inspector Jeff Carrane and Fire Prevention Specialist Robert Cross – handed over the hefty check to Rachel Zeib, LuAnn’s Place facility director. "Thank you to LuAnn’s Place for committing to the installation of this important safety tool," Fire Chief Scott Gerber added, as stated by the City of Eden Prairie.
