In a move lauded by experts and community leaders alike, Bacha, a seasoned advocate with over ten years in the environmental sector, steps up from her most recent position as Vice President of Public Affairs at the Ohio Environmental Council (OEC), according to a Cuyahoga County announcement.
"Emily Bacha's passion for sustainability and proven leadership make her the ideal choice to lead the Fresh Water Institute," Ronayne stated via the Cuyahoga County website, complementing Bacha's blend of expertise that spans strategic communications, community engagement, and promotive research, this extensive experience poised to usher in an era of renewed resolve for the county's water challenges. Moreover, she holds an academic foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geography from Ohio University and a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia, qualifications testifying to her preparedness for the demands of her new position.
