A routine traffic stop conducted by the Fairfield Police Department led to a significant narcotics and weapons bust. While on patrol last Thursday, Officer Spencer spotted a vehicle with mismatched license plates and decided to pull it over. The stop quickly turned into a criminal case when the officer discovered narcotics and a stolen handgun inside the vehicle.
According to a social media post from the Fairfield Police Department, the vehicle's license plates did not match the make and model, which initially aroused suspicion. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Justin Acuyong, had narcotics that were purportedly for sale. A search of the vehicle resulted in the additional finding of a stolen handgun.
Acuyong was subsequently arrested on multiple charges stemming from the illicit materials found in his possession. He was transported to Solano County Jail, awaiting legal action regarding his case. The exact charges have not been disclosed, but they encompass the possession and intended distribution of narcotics, as well as firearms violations due to a recovered stolen weapon.
The Fairfield Police Department has not released further details regarding the quantity or type of narcotics recovered.
