
An early morning fire in Baltimore's 900 block of N. Calvert Street claimed the life of one individual and forced six residents from their homes. According to a social media post by Baltimore Fire, the blaze erupted around 12:30 a.m., with firefighters encountering heavy smoke and flames on the second floor of a residential building.
12:30am -residential dwelling fire at 900 block of N Calvert Street - units found heavy smoke/fire on the 2nd flr rear of the building - 6 occupants frm 3 apartments evacuated. BCFD discovered 1 deceased occupant. No injuries to report. Cause is under investigation.

Despite the quick response from the Baltimore Fire Department, one person died in the fire, though their name has not been released yet. Three apartments were affected, leaving residents homeless but unharmed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no firefighters were injured.
As reported by WMAR-2 News, the fire was under control within approximately one hour of the fire department's arrival. The building's residents were safely evacuated and are now dealing with the heartbreaking aftermath.
