A Flint man, Edvonte DeMarr Callaway, 32, is facing a second-degree murder charge after allegedly delivering a fatal dose of illegal drugs to a 55-year-old woman, leading to her overdose. He was arraigned last Tuesday in Antrim County's 86th District Court. Callaway is also charged with delivery of a controlled substance causing death, according to Up North Live.

On May 9, a woman from Echo Township in Northern Michigan died after overdosing on drugs that authorities say were brought to her by Callaway. The Antrim County Sheriff's Office reported that the drugs caused her death. The charges against Callaway were issued in September following an investigation by the Antrim County and Charlevoix County Sheriff's Offices, as reported by ABC12.

After his arraignment, Callaway was taken into custody on additional charges in an unrelated case in Charlevoix County. He is scheduled for further court appearances in Antrim County District Court on January 8 and 15. Law enforcement is urging anyone with additional information to come forward, as stated by 9and10 News.
