The Washington County Sheriff's Office reported a series of incidents involving dangerous driving behaviors, culminating in multiple arrests across the county. Last Monday, deputies assisted Oregon State Police in arresting a driver who attempted to elude capture at speeds of approximately 120 mph on Highway 6. The fleeing vehicle, a dark-colored BMW driven by 21-year-old Adrian Henriquez of Hillsboro, was intercepted with spike strips near Gales Creek, though he continued driving on flat tires until finally being apprehended near Jackson School Road. According to the Sheriff's Office, Henriquez is facing charges in both Washington and Tillamook Counties.
Later the same evening, at around 10:45 p.m., a crash involving a single vehicle colliding with a house occurred on NW Nightshade Drive in Portland. The driver, 19-year-old Jesus Solorzano-Lopez, was under the influence and lost control of his 2006 Infiniti G35. In the aftermath of the crash, deputies arrested and charged Solorzano-Lopez with DUII, reckless driving, and criminal mischief.
The string of vehicular incidents continued into the following morning when deputies responded to a report of a woman slumped over in her car at about 8:20 a.m. The woman, identified as 30-year-old Keva Dubuque of Washington State, was found uncooperative and in the vicinity of drug paraphernalia. When approached by authorities, Dubuque fled the scene at high speed, crashed near the intersection of SW 170th Avenue and SW Alexander Street, and narrowly missed hitting a pedestrian. After attempting to flee on foot, Dubuque was located by a K-9 unit from the Hillsboro Police Department. She was arrested on multiple charges, including DUII, possession of a controlled substance, and recklessly endangering another person.
The accounts of these arrests were shared by the Washington County Sheriff's Office, highlighting the dangers of reckless driving and the efforts of law enforcement to address such behavior in the community. The Sheriff's Office has announced that all suspects involved in these incidents are currently in custody and are awaiting legal proceedings for their actions.
