The brand, known for its artisanal beverages, attributed its closure to "significant economic and technical challenges," according to Drink Shaka Tea on their Instagram page.
Shaka Tea's recent Instagram post expressed gratitude to their employees, farmers, customers, and partners for their support. "Your belief in Shaka Tea has been meaningful and encouraging, and we couldn’t have made it this far without you," the Shaka Tea Team wrote. The company’s business model focused on direct trade with local farmers, helping promote Hawaiian agriculture and māmaki cultivation through nationwide tea distribution, as stated by Drink Shaka Tea.
