The event occurred at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Marple Street around 1:20 a.m. yesterday, officials reported according to NBC Philadelphia.
The incident unfolded as the tractor-trailer was leaving a gas station attempting to make a left turn on Frankford Avenue now despite the driver staying on the scene and cooperating with the authorities, the woman was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.
Further details indicate that the woman was trapped under the vehicle, as mentioned in a report by 6abc. Witnesses state the driver had just completed fueling at the Gas Star station before the collision happened.
