Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident where a woman was found deceased at a Mid-Wilshire bus stop. According to a report by KTLA, the discovery was made Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Crenshaw and Olympic Boulevards. The body, which had not been identified publicly at the time of reporting, had reportedly been at the location for around 10 to 12 hours before it was found.
As details unfold, it was mentioned by NBC Los Angeles that a call was made to the authorities around 3:15 p.m. noticing the woman on the bus stop bench. After the arrival of LAPD and paramedics at the scene of the incident, the woman was pronounced dead. Found sitting for hours, a witness informed the LAPD, however, this timeline had not been confirmed by investigators.
In Arlington Heights, near Koreatown, the investigation continues as the police try to determine the circumstances surrounding the woman's death. ABC7 shared that the deceased was believed to be in her 50s, although her identity has yet to be released. No immediate signs of foul play were noted, but the actual cause of death remains to be clarified by the coroner's office.
