The evening forecast anticipates clear skies with the temperature dipping to a low of 41, the wind settling into the northwest at a steady 10 to 13 mph, and occasional bursts might feel a bit more biting with gusts reaching up to 20 mph. Saturday and Sunday will continue this pattern of sunlit days and clear, chill nights, with highs in the mid to high 50s and lows keeping above freezing, the northeast wind will keep things particularly brisk gusting upwards of 21 mph, which could make for a fresher feeling.
Looking ahead, the week leading into Christmas continues to be cooler and partly sunny, with the NWS forecasting a modest chance of showers beginning Monday night. The probability of precipitation gently climbs to 30 percent by Christmas Day, offering a mix of intermittent rain chances amidst the holiday celebrations while temperatures are expected to warm slightly, reaching upwards of 72 degrees on both Tuesday and Thursday.
The NWS also foresees mostly cloudy nights next week, with lows hovering in the upper 50s, this periodic cloud cover will not hold much promise for rain until after 1 am on Tuesday and Wednesday nights when shower chances slightly increase.
