The Cincinnati Music Festival, a vibrant staple of the Tri-State's summer events, has announced a star-studded lineup for its 2025 iteration, with iconic acts like Earth, Wind & Fire, and Janet Jackson topping the bill. The festival dates are from July 24 through July 26, bringing an eclectic mix of R&B and hip hop to Paycor Stadium and Andrew J. Brady Center. Local12 reports the anticipated economic impact of the event is a whopping $107 million, underscoring its importance to the city's cultural and fiscal landscape.
It appears the organizers are doubling down on soulful vibes and groovy nights with Earth, Wind & Fire, and Anthony Hamilton confirmed for Friday, July 25. Janet Jackson, no stranger to the festival, having been scheduled to perform in 2020 before pandemic disruptions, will headline on Saturday, July 26. This night will also feature a tribute to Frankie Beverly, starring Jubu, and a roster of special guests, including Ronald Isley, Joe, After 7, Dave Hollister, and Raheem DeVaughn, according to WCPO.
With the full lineup still unfolding, the festival has yet to announce three additional acts for the Friday and Saturday performances, and the artists are set to deliver "A Tribute to Hip Hop Music" tomorrow, according to WCPO. The previous year's festival boasted a "jam-packed R&B lineup," according to the festival's producer, Joe Santangelo, in a statement obtained by The Enquirer. This year seems to follow suit, promising a musical celebration spanning generations.
Thursday's Hip Hop tribute will take place at the Andrew J. Brady Center, while the headlining acts will grace the stage of Paycor Stadium on the subsequent days. Tickets have gone on sale through Ticketmaster as eager music enthusiasts look to secure their spot for what promises to be a weekend of unforgettable performances. The festival is not just a highlight for fans but also for the city of Cincinnati, with tens of thousands of attendees contributing to the local economy, as reported by Local12.
