
Early Christmas morning brought tragedy to Jurupa Valley as a major traffic collision claimed the life of a driver. The accident occurred on Limonite Avenue, west of Peralta Place, and was swiftly responded to by deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station. According to a statement from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened at 2:03 a.m. and involved a single vehicle crashing into a tree.
Despite their quick response, deputies located the vehicle severely damaged and the driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, as detailed by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. Found at the scene, the investigation was taken over by the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team. They are currently looking into what may have led to the crash, and have not ruled out the possibility of alcohol and/or drugs being a factor.
