A Laurel man is currently facing charges of armed robbery after an incident at a Gaithersburg vape shop. Tameek Parker, 30, was arrested following a robbery at the Tobacco and Vape Outlet store on November 8. During the incident, which happened at about 4:03 p.m., Parker allegedly entered the store, pulled out a gun, and demanded merchandise from an employee, as stated in the Montgomery County Police Department's report.
Investigators investigating the case turned to the store's surveillance footage, which allowed them to piece together a description of the suspect. Through continued investigation, Parker was identified as the suspect in question. Detectives executed a residential search warrant at the Laurel home, where Parker was arrested, and various items held evidentiary value were recovered.
Following his arrest last Monday, Parker was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. There, he remains held without bond. The case remains under the purview of the Montgomery County Department of Police—Major Crimes Division, which continues its investigations into the November robbery.
