If you're looking to update yourself on Medicaid intricacies, craft with family, or talk film favorites with fellow cinephiles, Lewisville Public Library has got your back. Located at 1197 W. Main Street, the library sets up a roster of activities for all ages, interests, and needs. It is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and remains closed on Sundays.

For those feeling perplexed by the maze of Medicare, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. On Saturday, December 14th, from 10-11 a.m. in the Crawford Meeting Room, the library will host a Medicare Info Session expressly designed to unravel Medicare's parts A, B, C, and D. Attendees will be empowered to better understand eligibility requirements and enrollment pitfalls, with insights courtesy of a local licensed independent Texas Insurance agent. According to the City of Lewisville's announcement, "This information session is led by a local licensed independent Texas Insurance agent and there are no sales or obligations."

Kids and adults have the chance to engage in creative pursuits together during Family Craft Night on Monday, December 16th, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Bennett Program Room. The Library provides different crafting activities each month at this event, which does not require any sort of registration or ticket – just show up and start creating. Note that the library stipulates children under six must have an adult in tow.

Movie buffs may like to join the Monday Night Movie Club on December 16th, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Crawford Meeting Room. Here, like a book club, but definitively for movies, attendees can expect to discuss all things cinema, united by a monthly theme – December's being Holiday Movies. "Each month, attendees will discuss movies based on different themes. Attendees will have the chance to share their favorite movies and discover movies to add to their watchlist," the City of Lewisville states.

And finally, for teens weighed down by the seasonal hustle, the December De-Stress for Teens occurs on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. in the Bennett Program Room. Here's where one can find therapy dogs (availability permitting), snacks, and relaxing activities aimed solely at dialing down the holiday tension. Kudos to Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs and their dog teams for potentially providing these comforting canines.
