
Residents in the vicinity of Cerritos Avenue and 17th Street in Long Beach were confronted with an alarming situation on Christmas Eve, according to the Long Beach Police Department. At about 8:38 p.m., officers were dispatched in response to a call of shots fired in the area. Upon their arrival, they found evidence of a shooting, confirming the incident.
The LBPD has yet to disclose specific details about potential suspects or the motives behind the gunfire, the investigation is currently active as authorities are piecing together the circumstances that led to the event, no one was injured in the incident, a fact that stands as a small relief amidst the perturbing events of the night.
