In Loomis, Placer County, the Holiday Miracle Program has become an important community initiative, providing toys to foster children and families in need during the holidays. The program has grown in recent years, with support from the Goularte Group, led by Jolee and Briana Goularte. "In Placer, we are truly blessed with how we come together to make lives better for each other. No one should ever go without. This program is proof of that," Jolee said in a recent interview, according to the County of Placer.
During the program's latest gathering, which coincided with the Christmas tree lighting event, over 125 volunteers wrapped thousands of gifts for at least 850 children. With support from several Placer County departments, toys were collected for the drive. Twylla Abrahamson, Children's System of Care director, shared, “We’ve even had additional unsolicited donations from our wonderful community," ensuring that even children who have recently entered the system will be included in the holiday festivities, as stated by the County of Placer.
Last Saturday, the Loomis Train Depot was filled with donated toys for the holiday drive, reflecting the community's strong support. “Families, companies and individuals have approached us, eager to contribute—not just this year, but in future years as well,” said Jolee Goularte. The Placer County Children's System of Care helps deliver the gifts to local families, as reported by the County of Placer.
