A deadly shooting at the Fenton shopping center's parking deck in Cary has left one man dead. According to CBS 17, The Cary Police Department reported that officers responded to the Green Parking Deck at Fenton where they found a man dead from a gunshot wound in a vehicle.

The suspect, who later identified himself to the police turned himself in and is now in custody, with officials stating that the victim and the suspect were acquainted with each other and affirming no further danger to the community; however, the identities of those involved have yet to be disclosed, as mentioned by ABC 11.

The deceased has been identified as Cory Edward McNeill, found in the vehicle at the scene, WRAL reports. Subsequently Malik Emaje Scott-McClarin, an employee of Sunstates Security, surrendered to the police in connection with the incident; WRAL is currently investigating whether Scott-McClarin was working for Fenton at the time of the shooting, whether on duty or not.

The Cary Police Department has urged anyone with information about the shooting to reach out, and this incident comes in the wake of another shooting at a Walmart in Lumberton which also resulted in a fatality it was tagged as isolated with no further threat to public safety, however, no immediate arrest was made nor suspect details shared, as indicated by WRAL.
