Earlier today, a man sustained serious injuries in a shooting at a Raleigh apartment complex. As reported by ABC11, the incident occurred in the parking lot of the complex located in the 4700 block of Old Plank Road, just before 8 a.m.
The victim was found by Raleigh police officers responding to a 911 call at approximately 7:45 a.m., according to a statement obtained by CBS17. The man was suffering from gunshot wounds and, was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.
No suspect is currently in custody following the shooting. Raleigh Police Department officials and detectives have been actively collecting evidence on the scene and are working diligently to determine the sequence of events that led up to this violent encounter. WRAL reports that the investigation is ongoing, with officers canvassing the area for potential witnesses or surveillance footage that may shed light on the incident.
