Marietta, Georgia faces a chilling forecast. As temperatures are expected to dip below the frigid 35-degree mark, MUST Ministries is gearing up to provide a warm haven for the community's vulnerable individuals.
In partnership with Cobb County, the Hope House shelter, located at 1297 Bells Ferry Road will open its doors for two days, on December 11 and December 12. This provision is part of a humanitarian effort to shelter men, women, and children from the impending inclement weather. The county has ensured that transportation will be provided for those requiring the winter warming services, with buses scheduled to pick up individuals at Reflections of Trinity on 4037 Austell-Powder Springs Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127, at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
According to details published on the official Cobb County website, those in need of refuge must present themselves at the Hope House shelter by 8:00 p.m. each sheltering night. To further aid in the effort, bus vouchers will be available when the shelter is open, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at HOPE Family Resource Center and Family Life Restoration Center in Mableton.
The collaboration between MUST Ministries and Cobb County is a reflection of the community's commitment to safeguard its residents against the harsh winter weather. Community members seeking more information about the winter warming services, can visit the website or directly contact the mentioned locations within the given time frames. Even in the face of winter's relentless grip, the spirit of communal support remains unwavering, a testament to the warmth found in the unity of purpose and collective action.
