The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of an 18-year-old man in Northeast Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department Officers responded early Tuesday morning to reports of gunfire near the 1200 block of Bladensburg Road.
The victim, identified as Jeremiah Law of Fort Washington, MD, was found at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported him to a local hospital, but despite extensive efforts, he was pronounced dead.
Investigators believe the shooting occurred within a local establishment, and the MPD is actively working to piece together the circumstances leading to the tragedy. The suspect or suspects remain at large.
