
The Metropolitan Police Department is calling on local residents to help identify a suspect linked to a recent burglary in Northwest D.C. The incident, recorded in the early hours yesterday, has prompted a police investigation and a plea for community assistance.
The burglary occurred around 3:10 a.m. when a suspect illegally entered a building on the 2900 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. The intruder was reported to not only have unlawfully gained entry but to also have taken property before making their getaway. In efforts to swiftly catch the burglar, the police have released photos, asking the public to aid in identifying the individual responsible.
Witnesses or anyone with information that might lead to an arrest are urged to contact the authorities. The MPD has stressed that no one should directly engage with the suspect but should instead reach out by calling (202) 727-9099. Alternatively, tips can be anonymously texted to the MPD's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. It was disclosed by the police department that a reward of up to $1,000 is available for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in connection with this crime, as per the details shared on the MPD’s official release.
