
Authorities are on the lookout for a robbery suspect after a business was targeted in Northwest Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) reported an armed robbery that occurred last Saturday. According to the details released by MPD, a suspect wielding a handgun entered a business on the 500 block of K Street, Northwest around 8:40 p.m., demanding money from the employee.
The employee complied with the demands, and, the suspect fled with the stolen money. In the aftermath, MPD is appealing to the public for assistance identifying the individual responsible for the crime. They encourage anyone with information that could lead to locating the suspect to come forward, emphasizing that those with knowledge of the incident should not approach the suspect but rather contact the police.
A reward of up to $10,000 has been offered by the police department, aiming to incentivize information sharing that could result in the arrest and conviction of the suspect linked to this violent crime in the District of Columbia. The MPD has provided two methods for the public to submit tips. People can call the police at (202) 727-9099, or send a message to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411 with any relevant information.
