The Metropolitan Police Department is actively pursuing leads in the search for a suspect connected to a recent stabbing incident in Northwest D.C. According to an official release from the MPD, the attack occurred in the early hours of Friday, prompting a law enforcement response to the 2800 block of 15th Street Northwest at approximately 1:40 a.m.
Responding to the report, police officers found an adult male with stab wounds. Suffering from his injuries, the victim received prompt transport to a local hospital for essential medical care. While the man's identity was not immediately disclosed, the urgency for community assistance in capturing the assailant was stressed by the responding officers upon arrival.
The MPD is urging anyone with information that could help in identifying or locating the suspect to come forward. In an effort to encourage public participation, the MPD is also offering a monetary incentive—those whose tips lead to the arrest and conviction of the responsible party could be eligible for a reward reaching up to $10,000.
